If you don't know how to play the game, here are your instructions. This is also a quick write up and a better looking and understandable version will be made later after this goes Gold.

Starting a game

To start a game, click "create game" at the top. There you can enter your options on size, number of player spots (you can have more and then start the game without all the spots filled), number of neutral planets, the pace of the game (how fast the rounds are if you let the turns go automatically) and more.

YOu can click "generate map" to make a different map.

Click accept to create the game and prepare for players to join.

Joining a game

Once a game is created, it's ready for players to join. Here the player can leave or update their profile, or rejoin if they quit.

FOr the owner of the game, they can monitor players joining and boot out players they don't want. (an option will be added later to add a password during this point if too many players keep trying to join that you don't want).. Once satisfied, the owner can then start the game.

playing the game

Playing the game is simple (except for strategy). If you hover over any planet, you will bring up the info on the right.

Each planet has a production number (how many ships are created per round 5 - 15) and a kill percent (how effective they are in battle 30% - 90%)

Your sole goal is to eradicate the other players. Most often, this strategy means capturing many neutral planets to give you an edge. Neutral planet details are unknown until they are captured. If you are playing with Fog of War, all planets you don't own are unknown, except for the fact of who owns it.

To attack simply click the source planet, whichever you are, and click your destinatin planet. Enter the number of ships you want to send and click send, a loading screen will show and once done, your order has been made. click as many times as you want around the map to send fleets out. At any time, you can click "fleet info" to review your orders and the fleets in transit (processed orders from previous turns you can ttouch). There you can edit or cancel orders. If you remember what planets you clicked in the first place, you dont' need to go here to edit an order.

When you are done, you can either wait for the round to time out (based on the game settings), or you can click "end turn". A check mark indicates that you are ready for the turn to end. If everyone in the game clicks this, the round will end prematurely and a new one will start. This allows for a game to move very quickly if all players are online at the same time. Otherwise rounds will end on the settinsg provided.

The results of the round are shown in the results page. While it shows the results that happened, only rows like "XX reinforcements arrived ..." will only show up if those are your reinforcements, you do not and will not know of reinforcements of other players.... reinforcements are fleets you send out where you own both planets.

Other aspects of the software

Players not in the game can watch the game, there is no restriction from this.

The ranks are based on the Chess ranking system. everyone starts at 1000 points if they haven't played before, after that, they lose points or win points based on their own rating and the rating of their opponents. The more points you gain, the slower your progress to the top will be. Also, the better someone is compared to you, the more points you would gain from beating them as opposed to a lower ranking player.
